HISTORY OF SISTAR

Melissa Ryan has been in the insurance industry for more than 30 years holding positions in both insurance broking and underwriting.

When leaving the corporate world for her own business venture it was with a goal and passion to work with Women in Business as well as create a unique offering to assist women in a similar position and simplify the insurance process.

Her journey over the past four years in both insurance broking and networking in her position with Business in Heels it became apparent the number of women leaving corporate roles and utilising their knowledge and skills to become consultants.

Becoming a consultant can be quite a lonely place, it takes time to build a network outside of the corporate world and learn who to trust when sourcing suppliers and advisors for your business.

We believe that Sistar Insurance Services can make one decision easier for you and give you peace of mind when you start your journey that you are protected for the advice you deliver.

Whilst you are confident and experienced in your field mistakes can happen, information overlooked or failure to provide a service resulting in financial loss to a client. Imagine the stress this would cause you and your business.

With a strong understanding on how insurance companies manage portfolios and how risk is shared, the idea started to take shape. Why not create a shared insurance portfolio of likeminded women in the consulting industry?
